Nationally recognized industry authority and thought leader Randy Bean will discuss how he came to publish his first book,  Fail Fast, Learn Faster: Lessons in Data-Driven Leadership in an Age of Disruption, Big Data, and AI, which comes out in August. Randy writes and speaks extensively on data-driven organizations and data-driven business cultures and is known for his frequent writings in the Harvard Business ReviewMIT Sloan Management Review, Forbes, and The Wall Street Journal, where he wrote a monthly column on Big Data for two years. He is founder and chief executive of NewVantage Partners, a strategic advisory firm which he founded in 2001, and whose clients include a blue-chip roster of Fortune 1000 companies and industry leaders in global financial services, healthcare, life sciences, and media companies. Randy resides in Stonington Borough and Boston with his wife Beth Black.  He is a co-chair of the James Merrill House in Stonington. 

Randy will share his perspectives on the process of writing a book and making it accessible and interesting to general readers as well as experts in the field.  He will discuss why this subject should be relevant and important to anyone living in this Age of Information.
