Acclaimed Boston pianist Stephen Porter returns to the La Grua Center with a remarkable program. He will share with us multi-hued sets of works by Chopin and Liszt. He also continues Music Matters’ joyous, two-season traversal of all 66 of Edvard Grieg’s impassioned, evocative Lyric Pieces, one of the great compositional legacies of all time. Our 1922 Mason & Hamlin grand offers Mr. Porter an ideal medium for his insight into this core Romantic repertoire.

CYCLES! is Music Matters' presentation of integral performances of groups of compositions by, typically, a single composer. Following our first traversal, Grieg's sixty-six Lyric Pieces (on modern piano), we will survey the Nineteen Great Keyboard Suites of Bach (on piano, harpsichord, and Bach-era Baroque piano).

Tickets $10. Under 18 admitted for free.  Cash, check, or credit card accepted at the door.
