Stonington Free Library: Agatha Christie, Making of a Murderer

with Sally Wood

Presented by the Stonington Free Library. Please note the time for this event has changed to 4pm.

Sally Wood is a longtime Agatha Christie fan who has worked closely with the Christie family for many years. She is a producer of Crooked House, the upcoming feature film based on the Christie novel of the same name. The film, to be released later this year, stars Glenn Close, Gillian Anderson and Christina Hendricks; the screenplay was written by Julian Fellowes.

She will discuss how Agatha Christie, the product of a sheltered Victorian upbringing with a stated lack of ambition, came to be an expert on murder and one of the world’s best-selling authors. She will also discuss how Crooked House came to be made. Her talk will include clips from the film and items from The Christie Archive Trust.
