He has been involved with many of Christie’s most important auctions, including Van Gogh’s ” Portrait of Dr.Gachet, which made $82.5million in 1990, the Nicholas Brown desk which sold for $12.1 million, the record for an American furniture piece, and the auction of Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry collection which Stephen shared with us here several years ago.
