SOLD OUT Summer Concerts on the Green: Latin Essence Jazz Group

NOTICE: Due to the current easing of restrictions, we will not be seating in pods as originally planned. However, we encourage you to be mindful of your neighbors’ comfort level and give each other a little extra elbow room.

Join us for our first outdoor summer Concert on the Green featuring Latin Essence Jazz Group on the green outside La Grua Center. Major support for the summer Concerts on the Green has been provided by the Stonington Village Improvement Association.

This dynamic group is comprised of some of the sassiest jazz players in the region. The band, featuring Ben Velazquez (bass), Chris Leigh (guitar), Miguel Rios (congas), Steve Marien (saxophone), Rufus Davis (piano), and Eric German (percussion), combines elements of traditional Latin music with an eclectic repertoire of jazz standards and pop/fusion classics. See PDF download at the left for the group's bios.

Free tickets are available here. Please read the important information below to understand what policies will be in place for the concert.

Rain Date: If it looks like inclement weather on the day of the concert, we will make the call by noon and update our website event page, as well as send an e-mail to ticket holders. The rain date will be the next day on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Food and Drink: The Stonington Harbor Yacht Club will be selling beer and wine from their portable bar, along with snacks. Please feel free to bring your own food, but not your own liquor. Trash cans will be available on the perimeter of the green for your use.
