More Music: Epitome Jazz

This performance will feature music written and/or recorded by Epitome, as well as some hidden gems from the Motown library, as an homage to the iconic music institution that brought us some of America’s most important music. Though written and recorded over a half century ago, Motown’s hits continue to stand the test of time, and hold relevance even amongst today’s pop charts.

Led by Cedric Mayfield (U.S. Coast Guard Band), this ensemble reaches into a wide range of directions and genres, performing jazz from a variety of styles. In addition to their own originally composed music, Epitome plays everything from Bach to traditional jazz, Stevie Wonder to Coldplay, James Bond to Sesame Street, and everything in between—all with their own unique twist!
