With decades of experience and a diverse background in music education and performance, Ashley offers a unique and comprehensive approach to learning the violin, Suzuki, and fiddle. She teaches students of all ages, abilities, musical styles, and methods, with equality, inclusion, and a non-competitive environment at the forefront of her philosophy. Students are encouraged to support one another throughout their development.
Trained as a Suzuki Teacher, Ashley provides Suzuki instruction and embraces various playing styles, including classical, bluegrass, Celtic, jazz, and fiddle. Emphasizing strong foundations, she ensures students learn classical positioning while developing their ears — focusing on intonation, pitch production, and rhythm training.
Ashley believes in a step-by-step process to fundamental theory and reading, catering to each student’s needs, abilities, and preferences. With an engaging, patient, and organized teaching style, Ashley delivers a positive learning experience. Additionally, she provides valuable exposure through events like an Annual Holiday Concert and performance opportunities with local organizations such as The Mystic Chamber of Commerce.
Join Ashley on a journey that combines skill-building with the sheer joy of creating music!
