West African Dance class is led by Ashley Jones and accompanied by a live percussion orchestra directed by Matthew Dean. This all-ages class includes warm up, floor exercises and break down of a traditional dance from Guinea, West Africa. Jones will share the names, regions, tribes and meaning of the dances she teaches. Come wearing comfortable clothing. All levels welcome.
Parking: The North Lot at Stonington Commons at 32 Water Street will be available until it is full. Parking in Stonington Borough in the summer can be a challenge. Residents of Stonington Borough are encouraged to walk. Additional tips can be found here.
