Join us as Michael  Barker, Co-President and Co-Founder of Sony Pictures Classics, talks about his life as one of the prime architects of the independent film industry. He’ll share insights and anecdotes about directors and actors he’s worked with including Philip Seymour Hoffman, Akira Kurosawa, Penélope Cruz, Ingmar Bergman, Pedro Almodóvar, and Francis Ford Coppola. Interviewing Michael will be The Day arts reporter Rick Koster. He and Barker have been close friends since high school, and the conversation could easily take a turn towards the whimsical and amusing.
