Exhibit Opening: A Mix of Oil & Water

This exhibit presents the watercolor and oil/acrylic paintings of a group of nine artists who first met while attending classes with artist Marija McCarthy at the Washington Art Association. When Marija relocated to Stonington, they decided to continue to paint together and keep enjoying the enthusiasm and constructive criticism they give each other. They call themselves “The Oil and Water,” as they paint in both mediums (sometimes pastels), proving they really do mix!

Exhibit opening Friday, November 12 from 5-7pm. Gallery hours follow on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday afternoons 1-4pm through January 2. Other times available by appointment–please call ahead 860-535-2300.
