Robert Schumann’s lovely chamber works are at the very heart of the repertoire. Clarinetist Maksim Shtrykov and pianist Misuzu Tanaka, familiar La Grua presences, return to play a second deeply appealing program of Schumann chamber duos. In partnership with our Romantic-era time capsule, the 1886 Chickering concert grand, they will evoke the soaring melodies and touching lyricism of this beloved music, much of it from 1849 – a fabulous Schumann vintage.
