As the music of the brand new 20th century exploded into life across Europe, a sophisticated new public began to demand more than just vaudeville and slapstick. By the 1930s, sultry, elegant café music and revues had transformed Parisian stages and radio into an appealing world culture that remains popular even now. Hold on, though! Berlin’s bold, daring, caustically literate Kabarett scene had gotten there a decade earlier.

Join Sophie et Adam for their vivid evocation of 1930s Paris cabaret and 1920s Berlin Kabarett. You will indeed hear songs and tunes you know, but all of the music is sheer sorcery. Sophie’s and Adam’s performance will last just over an hour and will run without an intermission.
