Music Matters ushers in the tentative first warmth of spring with an Irish-New England folk concert of rare appeal. Shannon & Matt Heaton – half of our originally scheduled A New England Folk Quartet – return for their second Stonington performance. They’ll celebrate the impossibly rich lode of original tunes and words from Ireland, contrasting and enriching the theme with a trove of songs and melodies that took wing on this side of the pond. This is pure, tuneful joy.

The duo’s performance will last just over an hour and will run without an intermission.

We have rescheduled A New England Folk Quartet for Friday, September 30, 2022 at 7pm. This will coincide with the year’s finest weather, so we can imagine open windows and the sound of Shannon’s wooden flute wafting over the shore of Long Island Sound. Tickets for the rescheduled performance will be on sale soon.
